Our vision, as a small breeder, is to raise the bar on royalty.   By this we mean improving soundness, the mind, and talent for all levels.  

Our performance program focuses on legendary lines, with mares who have LTE/PE. We only breed daughters of the greats; Grays Starlight, Playgun, Shining Spark, Smart Little Lena, Peptoboonsmal, and so on.  We cross these special mares to the greatest stallions, who complement each mare, to create a high end talent pool. 

Our Open NRCHA/NCHA trainers first choose what we move onto performance training, the others are either available for sale, or move into our family program where we raise & develop a curated selection of all-around, versatile, family horses.

We've personally had a hard time finding what we needed for our young kids... so we decided to make them ourselves in collaboration with talented women trainers we know & respect. 

We believe, in order to offer a truly bombproof family horse, they need to be put through the paces.  Our family horse training program is 2+ years, for each horse, before a sale (no quick flips here).  

8D Ranch wants the best for BOTH our clients AND our horses.  As such, our family horses are tested; they are safe, sane, and sound.
