8D Ranch is where diamonds are made.  

Our vision, as new breeders (relative to industry icons), is to raise the bar on royalty.   By this we mean improving soundness, the mind, and talent.  

Between both of our ranch locations (WI & UT; primarily in UT), we, Kris & Hollie, manage our breeding operations of legendary cow and cutting horse lines, in addition to maintaining a curated selection of all-around, versatile, family horses (draft crosses & AQHA's).

Our performance program focuses on legendary lines, with mares who have LTE/PE. We only breed daughters of the greats; Grays Starlight, Playgun, Shining Spark, Smart Little Lena, Peptoboonsmal, and so on... We cross these special mares to the greatest stallions, who complement each mare, to create a talent pool worth drooling over. 

Our Open NRCHA/NCHA trainers first choose what we move onto performance training, the others are either available for sale, or move into our family program. 

We developed our love for horses as kids together in Wisconsin, even working for a reining trainer together in high school.  While time, careers, and moves separated Kris & Hollie for a number of years; we are back together, offering everything we have always wanted to show, as competitors.  And now own, as mothers.

We've personally had a hard time finding what we needed for our non-horsey husbands & our young kids... so we decided to make them ourselves in collaboration with talented women trainers we know & respect. 

We believe, in order to offer a truly bombproof family horse, they need to be put through the paces.  Our family horse training program is 2+ years, for each horse, before a sale (no quick flips here).  Under the guidance of our lead trainer, Lillan Rome, we have developed a support team of amazing women, who believe in our vision, and help us achieve our dreams.

8D Ranch wants the best for BOTH our clients AND our horses.  As such, our family horses are tested; they are safe, sane, and sound.
